At the recent Community Council meeting Pc Howell reported that there had been no crimes in the community but there have been thefts of power tools in nearby districts plus thefts of diesel from farms are on the increase.

The state of the roads from Tregeiriog up Mill Bank and from Llanarmon past Ty Coch is to be reported again. Council was assured four years ago that both these roads would be repaired. The road past Pen Rhewl is also needing attention.

Notice has been received from the Planning Authority that the pay-phone at Llwyarch may be removed. the Council has challenged this on the grounds that it essential for emergency contacts in an area used extensively for leisure activities.

A report was given of a recent meeting of the Chirk and Ceiriog Valley Society in which tentative plans were made concerning the proposals of the Glyn Valley Trust and the possibility that the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct may become a World Heritage Site.

In accordance with instructions from the Electoral Registrar a notice will be placed in the Advertizer that all Councillors have signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office and Agreement to abide by the Code of Conduct a copy of which may be inspected by appointment with the clerk.

A planning application for alterations to Ty'n y Gerddi, Tregeriog, was put before the meeting and notice was received that two recent applications have been granted—for Granite House, Pandy and for Drws y Nant, Llanarmon.
