The April meeting was presided over by the chairman, Cllr George Jones.
Cllr David Roberts reported on his attendance at the unveiling ceremony of the plaque commemorising the Battle of Crogen.
This event had been very well organised and attended.
It was reported that the bi-lingual notices for the cemetery have been received - Cllr Jeff Davies was thanked for his assistance in obtaining these notices and agreeing to install them on the gates.

Councillors were informed that Mr and Mrs Mary Thomas have agreed to judge this year's Garden Competition and Cllr Clwyd Davies agreed to escort them to the gardens.
Following receipt of an invitation to visit the Welsh Assembly, it was agreed to approach the clerks of neighbouring councils to ask if any of their members were also interested in accepting this invitation, in order to reduce travelling costs.

It is hoped that this can take place in September.

An application for a Modification Order to downgrade part of bridleway No 2 - Garth to Cefn Uchaf, to a Public Footpath was not objected to.

Amended plans for the construction of a new stable block on land near Pen Y Fedw, in Nantyr were seen.

Information concerning the future of Community Health Councils in North Wales was seen and noted.

Councillors expressed disappointment regarding the fact that the skateboard ramp has been vandalised yet again.
It was agreed that because of the high cost of the constant repair the matter of its removal must be considered, this then will be for consideration at the council's next meeting.

The public footpath notice at the lower end of Church Hill, is still in need of repair and the state of Tynycestyll road will be reported to WCBC by Cllr Barbara Roberts.

It was noted that the Annual Meeting will take place on 27 May and will be followed by the monthly meeting.
